 ENGLISH BIO:
Pivirama is a female fronted band which has since ever been appreciated for their particular mix of rock, pop and psicadalia, for their powerful music with dreamy and intense vocals. A virtual bridge betwen '70 rock and new century post rock... Pivirama music could be simply pop, but the melodies of an acoustic violin mixed up with electric guitars and an unusual female voice, make the difference!
In 2005 the band produced by itself the debut album COSA SEMBRA (english: What does it seem). 9 songs, Italian and English lyrics, which obtained very good reviews and has been considered one of the best Italian independent productions in the past few years.
After tours and contests, after being invited to perform on important stages (such as Jack Daniel's Tour live on Rock tv, World fest on the beach, live on TGS, i Tim Tour, on Stream tv, Ruffano Trend and Blues Fest, on Radio1RAI, and many others) the band is now looking for a label producing the second album which the band has just finished, with Mario Bajardi, BJM, violinist and teacher of electronic Music. Songs which have to some extent been influenced by artists such as Portishead, Pj harvey, Bjork, Blondered head...
tHEY SAY ABOUT US:
Pivirama songs are very dark, eclectic, and dissident. The band is tight and the powerful rhythm section in particular serves as a nice backbone for the anxious and uncertain soundscapes that the music paints as a whole. "I Love U" and "In My Mind" border on avant garde rock which is cool; they are songs geared for the more sophisticated ear…but both have alternative radio potential. "Quello Che Sembra" is in many ways the standout track because of its soft, sexy, yearning, and catchy melody. The music on "Quello Che Sembra" is sleek and passionate; the band really struts its stuff and the violin really works as a pretty embellishment upon the prowess of the band..
