 Carina Freitas was born in Funchal (Madeira Island) in 18th August 1976. Participation in song festivals between 1985-2005 in Madeira. Between 1994 -2000 lived in Porto, studied at Oporto School of Medicine and joined the soprano class at the Classic Chorus of Orfeão Universitário do Porto. Since 2003, she has been living in Lisbon, where she follows her medical education as a children and adolescent psychiatry trainee. Since 2004, she has been having singing lessons with Prof Maria Cristina de Castro.
"Alquimia" is her debut album released in 2006.
