 GREETINGS
I'm a songwriter, composer, arranger music-fiend.
I recently recorded album 2 "Dangerous Games"-a labour of love and a celebration of my recent creative freedom. For those of you who found me through my first album "everything comes together"-this is a continuation of my musical journey, but this time, i was unhindered. My vision is complete and undiluted in these songs.
My journey:
I've worked with many great people-some will require me to name-drop (others have their stars rising). They have all offered me music-enhancing experiences that i am grateful for.
Ahh awright go on then...
Amongst other things, I collaborated with Bob James (we connected through myspace) on a song on my album; supported Jools Holland, Ben's Brother, Justin Nozuka; performed with Craig David and one of my favorite experiences so far was my live radio 2 session with Whispering Bob.
And.....safely in my jewellery box since 2001, i keep a splendid hand-written note from Russell Crowe who once tipped me £50 when he heard me singing in a piano bar :) I know i know, it is really pathetic....!
What else can i tell you....? Well...I won the international prize of the New York Songwriter's Circle Songwriting Competition 2007. This connected me to industry-heavyweight, Russ Titelman and also afforded me numerous walks down broadway clutching my skinny latte and my even smaller twin :)
To earn my crust i play piano, sing, score and conduct orchestra/strings for bands/adverts and artists. Together with my twin i wrote the launch song for life.com which you can watch here or on utube.
One of my songs is in "Big Font Large Spacing" a lovely new film currently doing the film festival circuit.
I write songs like some of you keep a diary and generally don't give a bleeeping bleeep whether they sound trendy or not ;)
Since the age of 7 i have had the luxury of composing to my twin Dina's lyrics - we shared a womb together so we click.
I also like to write my own words-these tell of more personal things. |
