Christian Bouillie is an amateur musician born in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1975. He liked to hear his dad's vinyls LPs since he was a child and his first serious influence was the rock and roll music, having Led Zeppelin and Jimmy Page as a reference. By the age of 15, Chris decided to learn to play guitar. He wanted to form a band and to play rock and roll just like his heros back then. After insisting very hard with his parents he got his very first electric guitar and that's the way it all started. At the same time he developed his passion to sing, inspired by Robert Plant, Ian Gillan and David Coverdale. Along the years, he got exposed to different music sytles, such as the blues, southern rock, progressive rock, pop and jazz. This great mix of styles and references was the key to define his way to sing and play, and ultimately to create his own sound. Along these years of playing Chris has recorded two studio CDs - one with his great mates of the Rocking Horse Band (Rocking Horse) and another one with his good friend Rafael Gazzi (Friday Sessions) - and one live CD with the same Rocking Horse Band mates (Rocking Horse live). |
