 Joh Screaming Doc Hansen was recruited by Keith (Berel guitar) in
1979 and joined Flash Harry on bass in the old Janiceburg.
He did one and a half albums of original music with the band and then
left to play more lucrative gigs. The babies and mortgage may have
been an issue, too. He played guitar and bass in Doctor Robert and
Robbers Dog before going into the one and two man business with
bass pedals and later drums. but never sequencing. Now that day job
has split to China , the babies have grown and gone on, and all the
while Joh kept on at the guitarslinger trade but found out, like the
Eagles did, that the old songs are the more honest or near enough
honest ones, so here I am enclosing three tracks performed by
Screaming Doc Hansen in his TrueOneManBand format. That means
no computers, no iPod stuck down the back of the mixing desk, just
guitar, bass + drums played in real time by one man. No dubbing and
no sequencing. The bass line is from a pitch detector following the
guitar and driving a classic analog bass synth by Firstman.
